** WEEKEND GAME: AtoZ of GREAT DVDs**
Ones you own or should own. PS. You can skip hard letters like Z and X if you must...
Pictures please! (quotes too, if you want) Extra props for the more unusual offerings... A for Animatrix Yeah, okay the first film was great, 2 and 3 sucked mostly, but the incidental DVD release 'Animatrix' was a terrific pice of work. See it if you can, own it too. |

I'm surprised that fanatical Cool Hand Luke Lounger missed his cue with C. City of God is a great choice tho

Re: ** WEEKEND GAME: AtoZ of GREAT DVDs**
If I'm following the intent of the OP correctly, we need to post a great DVD, not just a great film, correct? A bare bones DVD of a great movie (such as 'Before Sunrise/Before Sunset') shouldn't count?

Re: ** WEEKEND GAME: AtoZ of GREAT DVDs**
The way I read it, you can post any DVD, provided you consider it a good film and it goes in alphabetical sequence. So we're looking for an 'F' now...

E is for Eat, Drink, Man, Woman by the great Ang Lee [/ QUOTE ] I think this is the first time I've seen anyone but myself talk about this movie. Nice to see another fan! P.S.: Wish people would say something about these films and why they like them. |

A great transfer, great film, and some kickass extras, including an awesome BBC documentary on Hunter S. Thompson and Ralph Steadman from 1979. A must-own. [/ QUOTE ] Wow, good sell. A BBC documentary sounds like it won't be the usual promo crap/spoilers/lame ass feature put together where the stars talk about how they were all like one big family and everyone was inspirational. |
