Oh yeah, SEC teams will do fine. LSU losing (choking maybe) only goes to show exactly how tough the SEC is. There is no other conference top to bottom that can compete.

Too bad LSU lost since the best team in the nation now wont win the joke-of-a-title-BCS championship while a joke will win. Also too bad money clouds the NCAA's judgement about a playoff system. I mean it's only good *enough for every level (including pros) of football except this one.

Look, I think the SEC is the best conf. year-in-year-out. But that said, LSU's incredible luck finally ran out.

I wonder how much of the LSU loss came down to emotion rather than luck.

Razorbacks were playing to save their coach's job. Tigers had to be wondering if their coach was hitting the road for the Ann Arbor gig.

Best 7-5 team in college football? Is that even something to brag about?

You know, considering everything, why not? I'd like GT to play UK though.

2. Assuming Miles takes the Michigan job, who would LSU go after? Petrino?

[/ QUOTE ]

LOL. Come on, be serious. Tubby maybe? Though I've heard he's a lock for the A&M job. Either way, he wants out of AU.

Nice info you get there. I'm sure you'd like that. Tubs loves Auburn and doesn't even necessarily want a raise. He just wants raises for his assistants and facility improvements, and some other things. If Auburn gives him those things, he won't leave. We've had 3 coaches since '81. People just love it at Auburn. It's a gorgeous place to live and bring up a family and college football paradise for a coach. Tubs just built a new house.

I have heard that Bama will be losing some assistants though. Steele doesn't like working for Saban? (Go figure.) At least you guys have Applewhite.

Well, aubie, enjoy it while you can.

We will. Again. Enjoy Shreveport. Again.

I just got back from being home for the game. Pretty much a perfect weekend. Auburn didn't really play very well. Actually, our QB didn't play very well, which is nothing new. In fact, he was downright bad on a few big plays. God bless B. Cox and he will forever be 3-0 against Bama, but thankfully it's time to move on. Fortunately Bama was impotent offensively. Not one play for 20 yards and the only TD took two questionable calls (PI on 3rd and long, and the 4th down [non-]TD.) Anyway, War Eagle! and see you next year in Tuberville-Denny.
