He called my c-bets in other spots where he took the pot on the turn and I got annoyed. How did I play these hands?
Did I let him get to me a little too much in the last hand?

Ok, 3 hands might be too much for one post or maybe it isn't all that interesting. How about only the last hand + sidenote/question? Afterwards I felt like I spewed there, did I?

First hand I think you needed to raise to see where you were at. Preferably on the flop, but definitely on the turn. I would have called the river for $5 into $16.

The last hand you need to bet bigger on the flop. $8 into $17 is a week continuation bet for an overpair. I would have just pushed the flop seeing as how you didn't have enough money to make two legit bets.

Hand 1--for $5 you have to call that river
Hand 2--standard. you have to lay that one down
Hand 3--shove the turn

Hand 1: Bet more on the flop, and c/f the turn.

Hand 2: C/c the turn.

Hand 3: B/f the turn.

Meant the turn on the third hand in my post, not the flop.
