I haven't read Kammen's book and have never commented on it. I was negative towards Ashley's book.

Sorry about that. I think I imposed someone else's book on Kammen's. You've been critical of so many books, it's hard to keep track sometimes. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] I have apologized before for this error in this thread.

For anyone who's interested, I did comment at considerable length on Kammen's book here.

West's book is gold for the beginner and should be recommended.

As for Poker Essays, I've only read vol. 3 but if 1 & 2 are in the same vain they'll be joining my poker library also.

Super System 2 has a very nice section on Stud 8 written by Todd Brunson
