Default 20/40 NL HU check or bet

first time i post something on 2+2, probably because im down to much today and I don't feel like playing, I've checked out this forum the last weeks and find some posts really interesting.

anyhow im playing vs someone who's reraising preflop frequently so i've started to make a third raise sometimes with junk. however here comes the pot.
he has 5.1k, I cover.

he makes it 140 on the button i reraise to 420 with J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] he calls.
flop falls
8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I lead out 650 into a 840 pot, he calls.

turn 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. pot size 2140 with another 4k to go.
what do you like doing, checking or betting ?

I checked, he bets 1450.
is there any option here or is it auto shove ?

I think c/rai is a good line, vs some villains i bet/call but seriously everything is read dependent. Against some nit villains I may even find a fold somewhere but i dunno lol

i also think you should rr larger pf, 540 looks good imo

I think I'd c/c the turn. Then I'd check any river and call/fold depending on card, action, and speed of action... Know that's not too helpful. But I think it's better to induce bluffs here than to push it in.

whether betting or check/raising is better depends entirely on how often he's been calling your reraise c-bets and how often you've been 2nd barelling in such spots, but i think unless you've been going animal on him and have to protect your future 2nd barrels in this spot check/raising all in here is the play.

and yeah, no option but to auto shove once he bets.

why do you say that? he probably doesnt have that many outs against us if we're ahead, and he's not going to fold a better hand - that's for sure - so i'd rather get it in by calling here than by pushing. i think he'll double barrel us fairly frequently with our weak turn line. wouldn't you?

i like a c/c on the turn. this guy isn't on air that often...hero's read what the villain liked to 3-bet a lot. here, hero has 3-bet the villain. his 3-betting range isnt the same as his 3-bet calling range so we really dont have much information on how he plays in 3-bet pots with position.

I'm not sure the need to protect our hand isn't greater than the opportunity to stop bluffs, almost all bluffs have outs against us, and we don't really know whats his outs. I guess calling could be good since alot of players would try to bluff again if another heart came down and such. idk. what if we don't have the Jh, whats our turn play ?

no one likes a c/f?

who was villain?

also, what was the dynamic like in pots that you had 3-bet? what kind of frequency were you reraising preflop before this one?
