Default what just happened?

villain is a tag on the nittier side. we've done a little battle recently but nothing crazy. i don't know wtf i'm doing on the flop. the plan was to bet-3bet ai but i got kind of a bad vibe. his flop range should be very strong. something like sets, straights, 2 pairs, possibly naked A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], and possibly the occasional trash but i haven't led at him enough that i think he's playing back light

he INSTAPOTTED the turn

i 3bet pf. calling ist not bad or smth, but yeah. think if you decide to call the flop, you can fold the turn given your read/timetell and his betting size. looks a lot like 99/QQ imo. at least thats the one holding he should look for protection with the most. might well be hes ultraprotective with his small flushes or JT aswell, but meh, you lose there, too.
turn is quite clear a fold imo.

I think b/c on the flop is pretty awfull. Unless you think villain would raise the flop with air (unlikely both given your oppoennt and the texture imo) and follow up on the turn a lot I can't see the benefit of just calling the flop and giving him a chance to take a free card on the turn.

very interested in what people say about flop play. i normally b-3b that all day, but have you ever just gotten a bad vibe during a hand? not sure if it's timing or what but i jsut felt pretty sick about the situation

im getting it in for sure too many overpairs with a spade/AsQx type hands, etc. I think this spot gets really interesting if he has about $900.

If we c/r flop it is easier to play.
