you guys suck at context. PS3 is first generation in that it's the first line of production for THE PS3. Look at the production of the PS2, there were actual hardware changes within the unit that define what generation it is. Not only is it about the eras of video game history, but there are also disagreements about product placement on TV, whether NES was ok to play if you were an adult, and of course someone begging for money with the promise of never posting again. All around great thread.
