427/428u 420 422 Raiders/Ravens Under 34 Chiefs/Broncos Under 39.5 I'm just going to assume that there's something to the Football Outsiders projection system's saying that KC and Oakland will be much better defensively this year. And, of course, they're both playing against good defenses, while both of their offenses may be completely incapacitated. Will the Ravens score 27 again? Will the Broncos hit 30? They might have to if the Over is going to come in. Seahawks -7 vs. Arizona -- So, on a neutral field, Vegas is saying that Seattle is 3.5 or 4 points better than Arizona? Really? SF +3 vs. St. Louis -- The Rams shouldn't be laying three on the road to anyone. |

414 424 409-410 o. Carolina-Vikes under 37. No word yet on Steve Smith. I look for Minnesota to milk the clock here. Carolina was a mess on offense last week. They also have significant injuries to the o-line. Childress keeps running into the Car d line. Even if Minn needs to open it up, look for short passes rather than bombs. 19-9 looks about right here. Eagles -3. Eagles are undervalued here, mostly b/c they played Houston last week. I still see them as a SB contender and this is a game a SB contender should win. Added bonus of really putting the G-men in a hole as they go to Seattle next week. Giants played well enough to lose against Indy. Same here. Jets +6. There is simply no way that New England should be six point road favorites against anyone. This is strictly a value bet, some edge to the Jets b/c Pennington can manage a game to keep them in it. Det-Chi over 32. Again. No strong feelings here. I just the total as being off based on last week's results. Strictly a value play. On my personal account, I am laying off the NFL this week, except for the Vikes-Car total. There are too many whacky numbers and inflated spreads. I am just going to pass. Plus, there is a ton of value on the college board. |
