Yeah, that's ok, not right now though, I'm really busy. Some deadline coming up and I'm going to India for a month in two weeks.

Nah, I'm good enough not to fold that QTo from MP3 with limpers in front of me at $1/2 Cheap peek in good position in a likely to be 5-6 handed pot with a reasonable hand. I'm not as tight as I used to be after playing a lot of short handed. These situations are actually quite profitable.

Default Set City

Wel,l played for a few hours live yesterday in the late AM and I flopped 6 sets. Half of them were big pairs that I didn't get a huge payoff with. The others were nice though. Wondered what others here personal bests are for # of flopped sets in a session. I am assuming it is more than my 6.

That depends on the session Think I can probably beat 6 in one of those 3k+ hand sessions.

Ok, you go over to the park, and while you are waiting to get an 8-16 seat, you take one in 4-8 game.

UTG (Old white guy with a seed cap) limps, You raise in the next seat, folded back to the BB(Youngish white guy, who looks like he doesn't fold at the buffet) who calls, and the limper calls.

Flop AK3, This has to be good for you, you raised preflop right?

Check, check, You bet, and they both call.

Turn, 5, check, check, You bet, BB raises, UTG reraises, you puke and fold, BB calls.

River 8. BB bets, UTG raises, BB calls and shows, UTG wins.

For a beer payable when I meet you, tell me what their hands were.

(hint, I don't think either of these guys can spell 2+2).

As a bonus question, given that they had that... When you get called to the 8-16, do you take the seat, or do you stay with position on these two?

Clearly they held 24o and 53o respectively. well, the 53 might have been suited. You held pocket 8s. And you still go to the 8/16 unless you are willing to risk life tilt.

I once flopped trips and 2 sets in one orbit, live. I only won 2 of the hands though, and one was with Aces and didn't get paid well.

Winner. That must have been too easy.

They were both offsuit, but one demerit for giving me eights. I had AQ, but I was pretty sure that OWGs wearing a seed cap don't threebet the turn if they can't crush one pair.

I don't think the likelyhood that I could lose enough in enough goofy ways at 4-8 to cause life-tilt is much abouve .01 percent.

Line of the day: "Who looks like he doesn't fold at the buffet"

This will be an archive classic here on 2+2
