I have no affiliation with Dell, but I know how much this site is infatuated with these monitors.

Re: 2001FPs 20% off @ dell.com
How does the quality of the Samsung compare to the 2001fp? It seems that the opinion of 2+2 is that the 2001fp is the God of Monitors. Is this correct?

Re: 2001FPs 20% off @ dell.com
The 2001FP was a revolutionary monitor when it was released, far and away the best thing on the market, and it's still a very good monitor. However, it was released in late 2003, so obviously it is no longer the newest technology. Also, S-IPS panels (like the Dell) tend to offer similar image quality (slightly lower) and increased response time over PVA panels (the Samsung.) The Samsung claims the same response time as the Dell, but I havn't seen it tested in any reviews so I really can't verify that (companies fudge response times frequently.) If I had a DVI video card I'd probably get the Samsung...I seriously doubt response time is going to be an issue while playing poker (if you see lag on the tables, 99.9% of the time it's gonna be server, RAM or CPU based, running poker tables just isn't hard on a video card or monitor.)

If you plan on buying it, go to Ebay first and buy a $35 off over $300 coupon for $1.
