Default Do I pay off too much?

Lately I feel like I make too many crying calls on the river. Give me the verdict on these hands. I won't say before, if MHIG or not.

All of these are Commerce 9/18, which means semi-loose to very loose game, with moderate aggression.

Tell me WWYD...

Hand 1:

I have A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in CO

EP1 limps, EP2 limps, I limp, button raises, all blinds and limpers call.

Flop A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Checked to me, I bet, button and SB call.

Turn 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Checked to me, I bet, button folds, SB check-raises, I call.

River 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

SB bets, I call.

Hand 2:

I have A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in 7 hand deal, I raise from button +4. Button CCs two, others fold.

Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I bet, button calls.

Turn: J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I bet, button calls.

River: 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I check, button bets, I call.

Hand 3:

MP limps, I raise K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] from button. Heads up to flop.

Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Check, I bet, limper calls.

Turn: 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Check, I bet, limper calls.

River: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Limper bets, I call.

Hand 1 raise PF and check/raise the flop. I call the river.

Hand 2 I play the same. They'll call the flop with stuff they shouldn't, pick off that bluff.

Hand 3 easy call. With a read I could see raising and folding to a 3 bet.

Hand 1:
I pay off the river since the pot is very big.

Hand 2:
Bet the river unless you have a read on villain as tricky/bluffy.

Hand 3:
Very easy call. I would rather raise this than fold, even though calling is best.

Hand 1: Fold the river. Opponent was waiting to C/R with 2 others in the hand. I think you can respect his turn raise as being more than top pair decent kicker.

edit: I was only commenting on the river here. Def raise preflop. Bet flop.

Hand 2: I like the way you played this I think. Checking may induce a missed flush draw or a medium PP to bet.

Hand 3: This is pretty tough since you have gotten very little info from MP1. I think just calling is fine because a 3-bet would be nasty.

i don't think any of these are too bad at all...
hand 1: when raised on turn, you have serious outs to nuts/possible higher two pair... worth a showdown IMO

hand #2... river requires either a bet/fold or check-call IMO... folding's not really an option here... i like the bet fold to give me value when ahead here... but check folding gives villain too much of an opportunity to put you off the best hand...

hand #3: river donk has me concerned and it is likely that you're behind... definite call though

Hand 1: Call the turn, I'm torn about calling the river. Without a read, I probably call. If it's a solid player, I can find a fold. Looks like a slowplayed set to me.

Hand 2: Your river check will induce many worse hands to bet. You're good plenty often enough here to be worth a call.

Hand 3: Villain is on a WA/WB line. Call and expect to see a king with a worse kicker, probably KTs or KJs.

Hand 1 seems close. I don't think you're ahead that often at all. I could really go either way.

Hand 2 I bet/fold the river.

Hand 3 seems fine.

For Hand 1, the idea of check-raising the flop is indeed probably better than betting out. Good advice.

Obviously I am never folding on the turn with my outs.

It's an easy call and it's really not that close. You state the key factor when you say you don't think hero is ahead that often. That implies that the hero is ahead sometimes. If I've done the math correctly, there are 12 BB in the pot after the SB bets, so the hero is getting 12:1 odds on a river call. Therefore, winning 1 out of 13 hands is sufficient to make the call break even. If hero is ahead any more often than that, the call is profitable. I think it's pretty clear that hero will be ahead more than 1/13 times, so the call is clear.
