There is no strongest omaha hand until you see a flop.

This isn't great thinking. Of course, you're right, you can raise preflop with AAKKds, whiff the flop, c-bet into someone who's flopped two pair with a raggedy 27AK no suits, but if you continually get more money into the pot preflop with good hands and play decent postflop poker you will do just fine.

Obviously, but you shouldn't be giving a 'noobie' to Omaha the thinking that AAKKds is the nuts and should win/hold up against anything AIPF, that's more or less the advice I was trying to give, just a sweet and shorter version.

Also, if you raise preflop or (especially) reraise preflop, many players will put you on a AAXX hand. It is very easy to play against someone who only raises with Aces, especially is AAXX is out of position.

You should be raising (and sometimes reraising aggressive players) with other strong hands like JT98, KKQJ, 9876 to mix up your play.

And if you play big pairs well they are the big money makers in PLO.

"Playing big pairs makes you lots of money".. Hmm the innuendo is too much to let go!

I just skimmed this, so maybe I missed it, but..

At some of the Stars lower limit tables, they now have the buyin at 200bb I think.

So when people talk about a "buyin" they generally refer to 100bb. So if you play 1c/2c a buyin is $2.00.

Well we don't want to give the impression that big pairs are hands to be avoided.
