Malicious Software effecting Party?
Hi,
Hope someone can help explain what's going on. I'm running Snoop Free Privacy Shield, and for the last couple days whenever I open the Party client I get a message from Snoop Free saying that a program is trying to get a keyboard hook. I always deny access. The name of the file trying to do the hook changes but it's always something like 115.tmp, or 7C.tmp, 5A.tmp, and the files are located in \local settings\temp. I looked in the folder and there's a ton of .tmp files in there with similar names. What's going on? What do I do??? Thanks a lot in advance if anyone has an idea. |

Well, the same thing here. It started 2 days ago, I asked a lot of people about it, everybody is clueless. I am just blocking it now, but would be very thankfull to anyone helping us to solve the problem.

Re: Malicious Software effecting Party?
Party's been doing this for years...not sure why snoop free is only just catching it. Did it just get an upgrade or something?
The temp files are Party's own keyboard/mouse hooks to get information for their random number generator, as well as catch cheats Basically there's nothing to worry about provided you trust Party, which you do anyway since your ID, SS number, credit card & neteller information is already available to their employees. |

Hunh, ok, thank's a lot Phil. It's weird though, because I've been denying access and Party's still working.

Party still works but you usually can't use chat if you deny the keyboard hooks.
