Re: Do I pay off too much?
Hand 2 comments:
I think bet/fold is a good line to use against a total fish. But if you have even the slightest respect for your opponent, the only appropriate lines would have to be check/call or check/fold. |

Re: Do I pay off too much?
Anyone like a turn three bet, check behind unimproved on the river for hand 1?

Re: Do I pay off too much?
I don't like it. This line will cost us at least 2BB, the same as just calling down, without any benefits, we won't get a better hand to fold also we won't get bet into on the river when we hit often. Plus we're not ahead more than 10% at the turn.
At worst it will cost us 3BB without getting to a sd. This is the biggest reason just to call, we can't fold to a cap. |

Re: Do I pay off too much?
[ QUOTE ]
Hand 1 raise PF and check/raise the flop. I call the river. [/ QUOTE ] I don't think a preflop raise always is the best option here, but that's depending on reads on the limpers. I think calling is fine. I like check/rasing the flop though, most players will bet KK-JJ when checked to. The only hands not betting this flop is probably KQ/KJs/QJs and not all players will raise these preflop. |

Re: Do I pay off too much?
I don't think it's as clear as you seem to think. I think it's close. I wouldn't fold honestly. But I probably error towards the side of calling a bit much myself.
