Default Use of categories on PT

What categories (if any) do the xperts use for their PTO when playing Hi/Lo?
What am i looking for on these.
Any help would be great as im a beginner just getting my feet wet.

I'm not an expert... but I set up
AA, KK, QQ, A2, A3, 23, and A23
for starters. Once I have more hands in the DB (like past the 30,000 mark) there may be enough data to start looking at categories like A2K or A45, but for now it's all broader categories.

AAw is an important category too. Remember that the A2 category includes A234, AA2 etc... If you just want to look at A2 or A3 w/o the other hands you have to exclude them.

Like above said, make sure you exclude lots of hands.

The very good profit I get from A23x hands dramatically distorts 23xx hands' profitability. Without A23x hands, 23xx are revealed to be the garbage they actually are (marginal winners, usually only playable from blinds in FR).

Yes, I excluded as you describe of course (A2 excluded from the A3 and 23 categories for example). Agree about the 23 hand being crap. A3 is about neutral but I still play them, figuring that any extra hands I can play without spewing money will help disguise the real winners a little bit.
