Re: FT400 KK ugly board
I bet the flop, I don't understand why you wouldn't. Obviously the ace flopped, but does that mean we just give up on the hand?

Re: FT400 KK ugly board
Why do so many want to check the flop? Even calling it standard? Why not bet it and represent the ace they can easily expect you to have?

Re: FT400 KK ugly board
Because then he folds worse hands and never folds better Mase. It turns our hand into a bluff, and a [censored] one at that.

[ QUOTE ]
Because then he folds worse hands and never folds better Mase. It turns our hand into a bluff, and a [censored] one at that. [/ QUOTE ] There's two reasons to bet. One is to make better hands fold which is not the case here. Another is to make worse hands to call and that applies here. Flop check is ok only if villain folds all worse hands if we bet, but will bet them on later streets if we check. Many of donks will call our CB with hands like T8,99,etc and don't forget the draws. Betting the flop and checking the turn behind is better. Flop check is really bad against observant villains because it gives our hand away. |

Re: FT400 KK ugly board
You said villain seems donkish. If so then it'd be a fairly standard call since our hand is pretty much face up. Depends on how donkish.

Re: FT400 KK ugly board
PF raise is too nig unless you were playing a loose maniac you knew would call. You have to bet this flop.
