i tried dip once....i probably did it wrong, but it kinda burned, and some of the juices got down my throat. It was a really unpleasant experience and just made me feel dirty and not cool at all. I mean, at least cigarettes are cool guys.

i smoked cigs for six years or so, switched to dip for a schoolyear because i couldn't smoke in or near my dorm...

as soon as i moved out, i went back to smoking

I used to chew 2 tins a week during college. Now I only do it when my wife is out of town...

Following my Senior Year (I played baseball for four years in college, but somehow avoided dipping) I worked construction building houses. I started dipping then (Skoal). This kept up for about 4 months while I was in school working on my teaching credential (construction in the day, classes at night). Then I got a job teaching, and in the first classroom I was given, there was an anti-dipping poster of a young guy with a black and green hole between his lower lip and chin. I stopped immediately and have never again thrown in another hammer.
