Default Re: $200NL 6-Max - Valuetown or shove the river?

Why is intentionally showing weakness on the turn so bad here?

I'm posting to get educated not flamed guys. Tell me why it's so awful. Thanks.

Because your losing a lot of value on the river as well as turn. If he was re-raising monster amounts over small bets it would be different. I think You should have bet like 20 on turn, and then like 40-60 on river. Whatever you think you will get called with. Nobodys flaming you, just try and maximize value next time. Also, if you want to show weakness, why not check-raise or check call, then valuebet the river? But, the small bet on turn, then monster re-raise allin on river screeeeeeeeeeeeams I have the nuts

how can he cc or cr when he is last to act?

You bet $20+ on turn (Id bet 25) because the way the board is if he has a jack he will call 25 just as easily as he will call 8. This makes your river decision a lot easier when the pot is bigger because valuetown IS shoving the river.

yea my bad I [censored] up. He was last to act. I was saying 20 if he had bet 8 on flop.. I think he shoulda bet 10-12, 20-30,I don't think the river raise allin is gonna be profitable, if he doesn't have a jack, which he most likely didn't. Don;t you think he raises turn most of the time with a jack? As the hand went down I like raise to 50 on river, to get possible calls from a-7,9-9,8-8

because you have a FH and you want to play a big pot. the only way to play a big pot is to put as much money in as you can.

heck, even cbet more on the flop ($10-12). bet the turn for about $25, he's only going to play if he a)has a jack b) has 77+ (overpairs discounted due to pf).
