Default Some lucrative CFB picks (09/26/06)

#1 - Mississippi State v. LSU
LSU -32.5

Who likes free $$? In 3 of their last 4 games LSU scored 45 points or more. Mississippi State gave up 10, 15, 32, and 34 points, 34 to #4 Auburn and 32 to the woeful Tulane. They were also shut out back-to-back home games. I recommend 2 units.

#2 - Alabama v. Florida
Alabama +14
We'll see who disagrees with me here, but the Gators have not beaten Alabama in 8 years, including a 31-3 loss last year at Alabama. Alabama just lost an OT heartbreaker to Arkansas due to 3 missed FGs by their kicker. I expect Florida to win but not by more than 2 touches. Take at your own risk, i'm still not sure on this one. 1 unit.

More added later.

This is misleading. Florida didn't play Alabama from 2000-2004. That's 5 years of the 8. They lost in 2005 and 1999, and won in 1998. Basically, throw out all of those except 2005. Seriously, not to be a terd, but how is this even relevant? They didn't play for 5 of the 8 seasons where Florida "hasn't beaten" them. And of the 3 years, two of them (98 and 99) were so long ago that it doesn't matter.

Lest we forget that he calls it a 'lucrative pick' and yet says "i'm still not sure on this one.'

Thanks for the tip.

Go Gators.
