Default payout structures for shorthanded STT

ok, i play 4 or 5 handed STT with my mates at school
i'll simplify the buy-in to $30.
i played 4-handed today and said payou structure was:

Prize Pool: $120
Winner: $70
Runner-up: $50
should this be more top heavy but i really want to keep the people who have never played poker before in the game

what should it be for 5-handed??
thanks

I would say $80/$40. Otherwise the heads-up is pretty pointless, compared to 3-handed play. For 5 players, I'd probably go 2:1 or 70%-30%, whichever is more practical.
