Someone should break into the Hall and deface all of Ty Cobb's artifacts. It's disgraceful that they would let a self-proclaimed racist into Cooperstown.

O.J.'s busy for the near future, but I'm sure someone else can do it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow. Now that was funny.

It would be disrespectful to give the ball to Cooperstown with an asterisk branded on it.

[/ QUOTE ]

False.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't get how anyone would think marking the ball would be anything but disrespectful. Even if you hate bonds this ball is a part of history and Ecko is putting himself above all of that with his childish behavior.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't get how anyone cares about any of this crap. It's a freaking baseball. Why would anyone care to see it in the first place?

It's a physical representation of a moment in baseball history. I am sure you understand that people really enjoy this game and the history of the game is a very important part. It would a terrible mistake if they branded this ball and people went to cooperstown a couple years from now and saw a piece of the game they enjoy destroyed by a self-absorbed business man.

Is anybody else surprised that Bonds himself didn't attempt to win that auction?

[/ QUOTE ]

Not really, he indicated that he really wasn't interested in the baseball. However, he did call ME an idiot for letting people vote on the ball's fate, lol

Seriously, if you're gonna give it to the HoF, don't defame the damn thing. Keep it for yourself if you plan to write on it.

I cant believe the HOF would accept the ball with it on it, unless I guess its real small and they can show it in a way its not visible.

Can't they just paint over it? I mean if it was already branded why not just paint it...
