I have since i can remember been to the right.
In Sweden there is no a real difference between the left and the right anymore. They are all a bunch of socialist who praise the welfare state and shout for security. The right gained power 1 year ago and have slowly been reducing taxes.
As soon as they did that the same old phrases kept coming back. The poor will suffer and the rich will only get richer! It is unfair! Think about the poor!
I love a socialist definition of fairness.
I have never heard the socialists talk about anything else but the poor and the weak. Basically the socialist have been alive because they have promised a raise in subsidies before every single election. So huge taxes along some state monopolies and you have enough money to support the parasites that depend on you.
Anyway so the options here in Sweden aren't that many and more or less the same.

Personally i would like to see very low taxes and those would only go to school, hospitals and infrastructure. These three are of course highly import and should be of the highest standards. Most importantly would be to have good education available for everyone.
I would like to cancel the subsidies completly but not sure what would happen then.
I just lmao just thinking what would happen if anyone would actually propose this.

Why do you oppose taxes?

[/ QUOTE ]

I dislike the fact that people work and have only little right to their earnings. I dislike it even more when much of those earnings go to subsidies.

[/ QUOTE ]

So why is this right worth less when the money is spent on some things and worth more when it is spent on others?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think that these three things i stated are worth investing collectively in. I do not think that your background should define the kind of education and health care that is available to you.

[/ QUOTE ]

But you can't justify low taxes and forced collectivized spending on things you happen to think are important because that's the same argument that everyone uses for all the little things that those high taxes are spent on. Logically you're going to have to drop one of your positions.

[/ QUOTE ]

I can't? We have lost each other. Lets go back to the beginning.

"Why do you oppose taxes"

I don't. I think they should be much lower and exist to maintain only a few things.

"So why is this right worth less when the money is spent on some things and worth more when it is spent on others?"

Because i value hospital, education and infrastructure higher then anything else.
I think people should stand on their own two feet. If people are going to pay taxes and in that way depend on one and other i would like to see the money go to the above.
I want man to stand alone on his own to feet. Providing the above is necessary for the development and safety of the individual.

What would you say to someone who argued for more taxes because they said that they valued welfare and corporate subsidies higher than everything else, that poor people who can't get job should be provided for and that government should seek to strengthen it's countries firms through subsidizing investment and growth?

Im chilean fwiw. I would be really pragmatic , I dont have studies about anything at all but I guess I would lower taxes around 15%, legalize marihuana with a lot of regulation and eliminate the mandatory draft.
