Villian is unknown. Obv. the K was a scare card for me on the turn. VB the river? I feel like maybe I'm not getting enough value out of these spots. |

Re: $235 6-man line check
After your check and his check on the turn, I would v-bet river always, t175ish. He'll call with a weaker Ace almost always and maybe even whatever small pair he has.

What do you do if he RRs to 600 on the river?

Re: $235 6-man line check
If you're going to play it soft preflop, which I think is usually a good idea, I don't like you leading the flop and checking the turn. Lead flop/check turn is much better for a hand you've raised preflop in position and hit, so the pot is large enough to get stacks in on the river and the deception does you some good towards that end. Your whole goal in completing is to under-represent the strength of your hand and completing preflop and betting the flop when they hit is exactly what fish do with A4o, so that's exactly what they'll put you on. The turn and river both suck for you, since it hits pretty much every non-ace hand that's calling the flop. If you feel you can bet/fold, then bet the river. Otherwise, check.

Re: $235 6-man line check
I'd raise it preflop , 5 handed AQ is good for a raise, even oop, and it would be more clear how to play it after the flop if we hit too.

Re: $235 6-man line check
I like completing preflop.
I also like leading flop, you will extract much value from any Ax and most of KJ, KT. K is an awful card OOP...I would just check/call turn and river unless he really shows strenght. I don't think you can really value betting here. |
