Quick hijack for the Boston guys here. Been a Cs fan all my life but haven't spent much time in the city at all. Decided this year that the atmosphere surrounding the Celtics is too good to watch only on TV, so I planned a trip with a friend for weekend before Christmas.

Already have tickets for the Dec 21 game vs Chicago. Orlando's there on Sunday, and my friend and I are debating going to that one, or going to a bar to watch instead -- which can be great if there are a lot of people there who are into it.

Are there any bars that are just awesome to watch a game at, or would our interests be better served going to the arena instead? The game's at 6:30 on Sunday. (Pats play Miami at Foxboro at 1, if that makes any difference.)

Watching a Patriots game with a bunch of Patriots fans ranks second only to watching a Red Sox game with Red Sox fans atop the list of things I have no desire to do.

Thanks for the response, though, KBZ. Any bars that are particularly good (plenty of TVs and seating, lots of people watching and into the game, etc. Truthfully, I'm not sure enough people care about the NBA these days to make watching a game in a bar a cool experience, but I figured I'd check).

I don't. As far as I can tell, I have friends all over the city, so I really could go anywhere. Assume, for the purposes of this excercise, that anything I can get to via cab or T is fair game.

Hey Celts fans, ESPN says your team is on pace to be the greatest ever, after taking a one game lead on them after all of six games.

That is the most absurd thing I've seen on ESPN.com. Have they been running it since 1-0?

Do they realize that, just last season, both the Mavs and Suns each had streaks twice as long as this 7 game win streak (Suns did it twice, with 15 and 17 game streaks).

I'm not sure if it's more absurd than the David Eckstein vs Arod poll, but it's close.

espn is just making a mockery of themsleves
