I completely agree. I was just using it as an example.

Really you can plug in any range you would like for the PF action. The real point here is that he will slow down on the turn with MOST of his trash hands, and value bet hands that have you beat (basically you only beat a bluff).

Lacking a solid read, folding is much better than calling on the turn.

If you are going to call the turn you need some kind of river plan. Which you have not presented yet...

EDIT: You really need to know how often he bluffs on the turn to make this call. Absent of a read, I really dislike calling this bet, becuase it is going to put us in a really marginal spot on the river. There are many scare cards that can hit the river, and do you may not be ahead in the first place.

mike,

you're right about needing a plan. Basically, I didn't believe him on the turn, but I didn't really expect him to bluff that light on the river. I was expecting him to shut down on the river.

Anyways, I took a hundo and 50 in chips, and I had my hand over the pot....for some reason, I couldn't let go, and made one of the worst folds I had made in a long time despite my turn thoughts. I mucked and he showed Q2cc.

(fwiw, I was shocked he was opening that wide from MP)

what the hell why?!

his betting pattern, like most retarded live monkeys, is that of a hand that has nothing.

Seriously, folding this anywhere against this guy seems really bad.

These kinda people bet, bet and keep betting until you give them a reason to slow down.

CALL FTW

switched to cash a few months ago...i still play sngs from time to time in waves...had a lot of live cash experience before that anyways...LOL @ live cash players.

ahnuld,

yeah, your thoughts are exactly what made me fold in-game...i guess its not the worst fold ever like I thought. not the first time ive failed to act on my first instinct though. if anything it was probably the pot odds that shouldve made me call. meh, im a results oriented donkey.

jason,

yeah....I wish you were there at the time

You're hand is underrepped IMO and some europeans will vbet something like 88 and A9 here and whatnot. I definitely call here.
