Default 2-4......99 on the button

Villain is just TAG.

2-4 full ring..

Preflop:
2 folds, Villain raises, 1 fold, 2 calls, 1 fold, Hero calls on the button with 99, SB folds, BB calls.

Flop: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
BB checks, Villain bets, 2 calls, Hero?

what color are you nines? 3bet pf. it changes everything postflop.

i would call and raise the field on the turn if it's not a club or overcard(except another ten).

call the flop and see what happens on the turn. villain could easily be Cbetting this with nothing, and no one has shown strength.

nonetheless, you are beat by any T, and thus raising the flop isnt particularly wise as you should wait to see the turn action before making any kind of judgements on your hand.

btw Niediam, i dont get why the pot is big has anything to do with cointiuning in this hand. if the pot was 3 handed i still wouldnt fold.

Villian limps, bunch of folds, SB completes, we check 88 in BB. Flop comes T63. SB leads. I fold and I think it's very standard.

I three bet preflop, hoping for a flop like that. Its not likely that a T helped villain. Then the flop action will change completely.

Why on earth would you want to bloat the pot by three betting preflop when you know you will be up against at least three other players and one of which is a TAG and the preflop raiser?

There is a time to three bet with 99. Move the preflop raiser to late position, have just one caller in between and know everybody else is going to fold. This is more like it.

I would love to here your rationale for making this play.

As played, I would just call and reevaluate the turn.

Also takes you out of the passive position, makes a c-bet with overcards much less likely from the PFR. Being in the driver seat with this hand is worth it.
