KK versus unknown
Villain is unknown.
My plan was to c/r AI on the turn as he only has $113 left at that point. But then he makes a really small turn bet and it seemed like too much of an overbet to shove. I shove the river thinking this guy seems really bad from this hand and might call me with worse but will probably check behind with hands I beat. I don't think I can fold despite the gross board as he only has 1/3 of the pot left. No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 6 Players Hero ($198 in chips) MP ($147 in chips) CO ($117.49 in chips) BU ($174.10 in chips) SB ($31.18 in chips) BB ($226.80 in chips) ----- HOLE CARDS ----- Dealt to hero [K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]] Hero raises to $8, MP calls, 4 folds. Flop: ($19) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero bets $13, MP raises to $26, Hero calls. Turn: ($71) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero checks, MP bets $16, Hero raises to $50, MP calls. River: ($171) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero bets all-in to $63, |

Re: KK versus unknown
Horrible board, you're only really beating KJ/AJ. That said I kind of understand the river push. Against an unknown I'd rather 3 bet the flop to get a better feel for where I am.

Re: KK versus unknown
What about just reraising the flop.

Re: KK versus unknown
Why reraise the flop? The board isn't scary yet and this minraise is often air, sometimes a big hand. I can comfortably c/r AI on the turn if he makes anything close to a reasonable bet. This way I get the most from air/top pair.

What did you put him on after his turn bet? |

Re: KK versus unknown
I don't mind your call and c/r all in on the turn line. I think you just go through with it even if its a obscure looking over bet because then it looks more like a bluff that may be called down by top pair in some cases especially at 1/2. I think you could even do a bluffy looking shove on the flop and hope they look you up with a jack.
