Default Slow play or push top two pair?

MP2 was limping a lot. I called, and flopped top two pair. SB bet, and MP2 called. I was the chip leader of this tourney at the time with 80 players left. Should I have raised like I did, or slow play this?

Fold preflop, Q10 is a little trashy and can get you in trouble. As played, you definetly have to raise this flop.

if he's limping a lot then why not isolate him and raise.

I would fold pre flop, but why raise the flop?

It's a rainbow flop, and I wouldn't be afraid of the QT part of it.
Given the weak bet (less than half the pot), I would just call here as it's probably a probe bet.

That flop has probably missed them both completely and you want them to catch up a bit here.

On turn I then raise any bets, or bet if they check.

If a J comes I would C/C.

Raise or fold here preflop. And I lean to the latter.

The flop bet by villain is a small, probe bet. I'd raise the flop, but not to 60K. Remember that you want to build the pot here and not force anybody out. A smaller raise (40-45K) would have been better.

call is ok seeing how deep you are but i prefer the isolation raise like greg said.

as played definately raise as a lot of his range is KJ, KQ, QJ, 98 type hands. So you do not want him to catch up on this board Olly.

i agree with raising any turn but would probably raise a jack also to find out if he was there. though if called i'm not putting much more money in.

Brian, it's generally better not to post the full hand history as it influence the response of posters.

Just saying that because its easy for me to say QT on the board is not scary having seen them fold, but against 2 opponents if I was in the same situation maybe I'd raise...I dunno.

When I say catch up though, I don't mean his pair becoming 2 pair, I mean the flop's missed him completely and he pairs up.

I'm definitely only c/cing if a J comes, rather than raising, as we're way ahead or way behind.

If Hero knows how to get away from one pair, I see no problem in calling with QTo here. As chipleader, I like to see many cheap flops and drag big pots when I hit a monster.

To OP, you played it fine. If MP2 had folded, I would've slowplayed this flop. But with two players already in the pot, raising is clearly the best play.
