Default Guess I have to fold my trips

CO is 15/5/1 but for some reason is in love with suited connectors. Have seen him cold call lots of hands like JTs, QJs, ect in position.

Button is a donk. Not much worth noting for this hand.

I have been lagging it up a bit, running at about 28/26.

The turn I bet for value thinking CO will be stacking off with any jack(or stacking me with a boat...) and Button will likely call another street with K9, 66, or whatever the hell he has.

The river is super gross though. Is he really betting anything worse here?

Pokerstove at the bottom. Anyone see anything different here?

Snap call. You are priced in and ahead of alot of his range.

What is with all these crazy folds that are being posted the last few days? Call all day long and tomorrow too - it's not even half the pot. Am I just a horrible calling station?

I'm not sure how often QJo is in a 15/5 CC range but I think it is fair to put in at least half the combos to make up for the times CO has brain damage and shows up with something weird here.

As far as people saying "you have trips, insta call," I think it is important to think in terms of our relative hand strength rather than getting stuck in the idea of absolute hand strength. A lot of posters seem to have this problem (myself included).

Rather than looking at a post and thinking lol you have trips insta call, try to assign a hand range to villain and see what you get. When I add half the combos of QJo to the above stove I am still a 4:1 dog. This is why I was interested in the hand ranges people have been assigning that I am 'way ahead of'.

*oops he is 15/5 not 15/11

JT and QJ as you said yourself. Probably he wouldve pushed the turn if he has the set, because you have some outs when you have the Jack. Dunno I dont think your ahead every time but often enough to call it.

I don't really see a 15/11 calling with KJ, wether he has position or not, KK is out because he is RR like 100% of the time. 77/99 are in his range, you are getting over 3-1 on your money here to call.

Don't really see someone flopping a straigt with T8 here or staying in the pot with Q/10.

For my money, and I'm calling all day getting 3-1 on my money in this spot.

The 15/5s are really weird, they appear tight and nitty but constantly get themselves involved with mediocre holdings.

I'd just shove river. If I check its to check fold.

You are thinking of this hand the way you should if you were both deepstacked and he pushed for a big overbet like 180. The way it stands, you've got it all wrong. Your both real shortstacked, and your faced with a less-than half the pot sized bet on the river after you checked. He could easily just be trying to take the pot down. You're also thinking of a very specific holding he might have-KJ. I think there is alot more to his range than that. You're getting 3-1 with trips and an ace kicker. On a no-flush no-straight (he almost never has drawn a straight on this board) this has gotttttta be an auto-call.
