Do some charity work, you feel good + you get human interaction during the day.

Like most pro poker players I got a ton of free time, sometimes too much free time during the day. At night I have no problem finding stuff to do, but during the day it sucks. All of my friends have actual real jobs (suckers) so no one is around. Even worse there is nothing on TV and I am stuck having to either play video games for 10 hours straight (gets boring) or play poker (I don't like poker anymore and got bored with it even though it's my job and there arent many games during the day anyway).

So what should I do that isn't video game/poker related during the day?

[/ QUOTE ]

read, workout, meet friends for lunch, get a new hobby, learn music, volunteer

off the top of my head

[/ QUOTE ]

I hate reading most books (only found a few that I liked).

Workout has already been discussed.

Meeting friends for lunch sounds like a good plan but will only take up like an hour.

I don't like playing music, only listenin to it.

And volunteer? wtf.

Find a good nearby bar that opens early. Take up golf. Take up sailing. Learn to play the piano. Learn to speak another language. Go to museums. Read good books. Go fishing. Volunteer. Get a part time job doing something you like. Train for a marathon. Learn to cook. Take daytrips to nearby towns. Everybody has something they've always wanted to learn. Live, baby, live.

I'd never enjoy doing any of these things.

I do love sports tho just not golf, maybe I can find a rec league.

PS: Please stop saying volunteer + get a job guys, I would rather sit on my ass and be bored for 10 hours a day then have to work.

real work is for suckers.

Those suckers have jobs they don't like. You have a job you don't like. They do theirs during the day when there's nothing to do. You do yours at night when they're all out partying. Hmmmm...yeah, they're suckers.

I might have a job I don't like but I only gotta play 5-10 hours a week. And i'd hate any job if it wasn't involved in sports or something fun which jobs rarley are.

PS: I party at night more than almost any person due to not having to go to work the next day. Like I said, finding stuff to do at night is no problem.
