Default $50-$100, standard hand?

$50-$100 6-max online

I open raise on the button with J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], a donkish player calls in the BB.

2 players.

Flop: J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

He bets, I call.

Turn: A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Check, check.

River: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

He bets, I raise.

At first I thought you should bet the turn, but I don't really see the point in that. If he's bluffing the flop, he has very few outs and likely isn't calling your bet. He could also be making a weak check with a K or better J. So I think a check is good.

I think the river is a pretty clear value raise. A couple of questions we should think about however are what to do with a 3-bet on this river and what to do with a bet on a blank. I think they're both a call, but they're at least a little close.

I think you should. You're not beating much and he wasn't described as a LAG.

I think you absolutely cannot fold to a 3 bet in a 50/100 online game vs a flop donker on that board.

Thanks guys, sounds like this is pretty standard after all, just checking since I've been getting my head kicked in and I'm starting to question a lot of plays.

Donk called my river raise, but I lost to a better two pair, he had A2o.

isnt it weird how he was going to checkraise the turn and value bet the river, but then when you checked turn and raised this river, he thought his hand wasnt good enough to 3bet? funny, those donks.
