Default 2/4 Hit AK on a nice board. Can I ever get away?

Villian is Rafchu who is 18/12. Don't know much else about his tendencies. One thing to note is that he took a long time to call the turn bet... took a note on him for that.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP ($163.65)
CO ($400)
Button ($369.05)
SB ($321.05)
BB ($434.50)
Hero ($394.20)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $4.
Hero raises to $16, MP calls $16, 1 fold, Button raises to $60, 2 folds, Hero calls $44, MP folds.

Flop: ($146) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $40, Hero raises to $116, Button calls $76.

Turn: ($378) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $218.2 (All-In), Button calls $193.05 (All-In).

River: ($789.25) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players, 2 all-in)

Final Pot: $789.25

Fold PF.

I would probably check/call the flop.

Why is this a fold preflop? If it was suited is it a call?

AK doesn't play that well in RRed pots without being the aggressor because of bad reverse implied odds. Wayy too often you win a small pot, lose a big one. Especially OOP.

4-Bet PF > Call, IMO.

AKs you can call with, though, since a flush draw will always have a bunch of equity, and often be the best hand, over QQ or something.

Yea good point. Over 37k hands I have won 602 with AKo and 1121 with AKs. It seems like it should be higher. Average stake is probably 1.5/3.

EDIT: One more question... is it better to call with a hand like 67s here than AKo if I decided I would not fold to this villian's RR?

Preflop, I'd fold against someone who seems tight (like this guy) and doesn't 3-bet regularly. Against some I'd 4-bet or call and crai on a variety of flops, this probably being one of them if he hadn't made such a dumb little bet.

fold pf for reasons big jim said. flop c/c would be fine, or bet/fold. c/r doesn't do much since he's going to fold everything you beat but at least when he calls you now know you're behind. c/f turn.

I don't hate a call in position but out of position this is always a fold or a 4bet.

i usually call here PF... but this may be a leak.

flop is weird. His bet really reeks of AA/KK. I think i just call here and see what's up on turn.

Judging by the way you described his hand and the way it went down im guessing he had AA.

Yea this may be a big leak for me. But isn't folding AK here pretty exploitable and weak tightish? He had KK.
