TV tuner card advice

Hi there,

I want to get a card that allows me to watch TV on my PC, and record programmes as well. I live in the UK and don't have satellite or cable so I'm looking for something that works with freeview.

Can someone recommend me a good TV card to buy please? Also, do you need to get separate software in order to record TV programmes, or should this be included with the TV card?

Finally, I found this product USB TV recorder
and was wondering if it any good. It appears you don't need to insert a card into your PC and it does all the stuff like recording your programmes. Has anyone used this product or anything like it? Does the fact that it is external rather than inside the computer make it slower/worse quality/more prone to problems etc?

I just want to know what the best sort of thing to buy is...
