Default Brag: Doubling cube for random gambling

Doubling cubes make gambling actually fun, and more real-time/involved.

For those who are unfamiliar with using this, when betting a fixed amount on a sporting event like Basketball, Boxing, or NES Ice Hockey, either person can offer to double the amount of the wager at the beginning. The other player can accept the double, and get possession of the ability to double, or deny, and give the player who doubled the amount of the wager. After the first double, only the player who has most recently accepted a double has the ability to double.

This may seem dumb, or go unappreciated, but I hadn't had fun gambling in a while.

If anyone else has any recommendations/uses similar systems, I'd like to hear.

Usually we start for $1, but before the game starts, there will be several doubles.

I am not looking to play ice hockey for rolls, we were just betting on it when we weren't playing so that 4 people could have fun playing a 2 player game.

No I wouldn't play NES for BR's. Especially bc you don't know if other guy is using unfair advantages (cheats, etc...)

Still, I love me some 8-bit gaming/gambling

I prefer Blades of Steel, stevepa is a nit, and I needed to find the person who I gave my NES to, ask for it back, then bring it over to his place.

my friends and i use this when we play golf and we usually play $4 units playing wolf(one guy has his hole where he picks someone after they hit and before the next guy hits and the pick rotates fyi) and we have had guys putting for $120/man because on the last few holes the guy down the most can press and increase the bet to $10 as the initial wager. It is a very fun way to play and adds lots of action
