Re: quick commerce tipping question
Seems like it would have just been easier to order a meal, and have cost about the same as the $7 total you paid in tips. At the Bicycle you do get a free meal after getting your card scanned 3 times in the 6/12 or over games, and no fuss about it.

Re: quick commerce tipping question
SNOW,
"Should I really have to tip 2 seperate people to get my free food?" Unless rules have changed since I was there, you weren't playing a game that gets free food. So, yes, it's perfectly reasonable to tip the floor who hooked you up, plus of course tip your server. |

Re: quick commerce tipping question
TT,
When I've been there, standard server tip is $5, more if you order a ton of crap. |

Re: quick commerce tipping question
It's a sliding scale down though imo. Like if I order 2-3 things for $15 I'll tip 5 but if I order like a $3 piece of cake or whatever I'll probably tip 2.

Re: quick commerce tipping question
So people really tip 67%? Anyone else think these tipping guidelines sound crazy high?
I will admit though that I hate the whole idea of tipping generally. I wish they would pay the dealers a reasonable amount that they would earn the amount they should without the players feeling like they need to tip them, and the same thing with servers in restaurants, etc. I always tip when I go to a sit down restaurant because I know it is expected, but I think the whole system is messed up, and I dislike it, which is part of the reason I don't go out to eat much. If they would just pay the servers more, and raise the prices to whatever level was necessary to do that, I would patronize the businesses more often. |

Re: quick commerce tipping question
In the top section, I usually tip between 3 and 5 bucks for a meal, depending on how much I order and if the server is good looking. In other words, it's almost always 3 bucks.
Whoever is tipping 15 bucks for food at Commerce is insane. Else, they're trying to get into the server's pants. After spending some time there, and excluding one of the candy/cigs girls, this is also insane. |
