AudioBooks
Driving to Santa Cruz in a couple days from San Diego, about an 8 hour drive, and rather than leave the iPod on shuffle I figured i'd download a couple Audio books. Any suggestions? I read a bit but not as much as I would like, and i'm more the fiction type, but i'll read, or in this case, listen too, just about anything. Any disadvantages to listening to specific books rather than reading them?
Thanks. |

Any suggestions? [/ QUOTE ] Crimson, I think that the Sherlock Holmes stories are particularly good as audio books. You can find a bunch on BT or I think I have some, PM me. bk edit: heh, BT is censored |

Lovecraft and Poe are sometimes really good.

Re: AudioBooks
"a brief history of nearly everything" by bill bryson. and to be trite, it isn't even close.
particularly if you are a big nerd like me that is interested in all of that stuff. but what is sweet, is you can just start listening to different chapters out of order. can jump from astronomy to geology to biology to physics to technology. also i know you can download it from torrents. i own a hardcopy of the book and enjoyed it, and enjoyed re-listening to the whole thing everytime id be in my car for a while. |
