Re: Good (expensive) drinks to order in a casino
[ QUOTE ]
I'd like a PBR, served in a cup of gold. [/ QUOTE ] For those who cannot afford PBR there is always Red White & Blue. I don't know if they still make it but it did leave me with temporary blindness after drinking a case of it after the Phillies won the Series in 1980. Well, it was either that or the hash. Vodka------Effin. Kicks the heck out of Kettle One and Grey Goose [/ QUOTE ] Unless you're looking for a true dirty martini, in which case I've never tasted anything better than a Ketel One. As an aside, the coldest martini I've ever had came from that martini bar inside Wynn that is....I think it's nearish to the room elevators? Highly recommended. I don't think the waitresses in the poker room will bring you drink from that bar, though. |

Well first I have got to say that gambling while drunk is generally -EV. But if you really want to do it, a couple of Old Crusties (Bacardi 151 with Wild Turkey shots) will certainly fix you up fairly quickly.

Re: Good (expensive) drinks to order in a casino
I'm late to the party, but I've gotten quite fond of ordering Scotch. I still don't know enough to tell a single malt from a double malt by taste, though. The only single malt I found in Tunica is the Glenlivet at the Horseshoe; not sure how that maps to Vegas options.

Double shot Jack Daniels straight up and a Heineken chaser at the Borgata in AC.
I drink this, rack out and go eat dinner. It saves me like 15 bucks for drinks. |

Re: Good (expensive) drinks to order in a casino
Cocktail waitress: Cocktails? Guy behind the guy.
Mike: I'll have a scotch on the rocks. Any scotch will do as long as it's not a blend of course. Single malt Glenlivet, Glenfiddich perhaps maybe a Glen... any Glen. Looks like people have the scotch angle covered, so I'll throw a vote out for VanGogh gin. Best. GnT. Ever. Haven't tried it in a gimlet or martini but it's good stuff. I think they make vodka as well. |
