Default WSOP 2007 blind structure

I remember reading somewhere that they are doubling stacks with same blind strucuture. High chance I am mistaken. Anyone can enlighten me more on this?

Is blind structure/stack size gonna be same for preliminary events as for 2006?

Harrahs will be doubling the stacks for the smaller events. i.e. the $1,000 buy-in will start with $2,000 chips. The blinds structure will be slightly modified, but there will certainly be more play this year.

That should come out on their website in the next week or so.

Additionally, they will be have 1, 2, and 3 table satellites for the smaller events this year. That should be pretty cool. In past years, they've only had MTT sats for the main event.

I have been worried about that starting chip amounts, basing that off of last year. It seems as though it was incredibly short to start off. Conceivably, you could be risking 75% to 100% of your stack in just the first hand, with only T1500 and starting blinds of 25/25.

This is GREAT news, imo. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a discussion on last years early small buy-in's at the WSOP? I'm curious to get others takes on this.

Lizzie just reported that chip stacks are doubled. 1500 this year means 3k.

Did anyone read this article concerning the chips doubling?

http://www.cardplayer.com/poker_news/article/8529

Apparently the blinds are also doubling, and they are eliminating a round here and there to bump the blinds up at a quicker rate.

So really, what's the point in doubling the starting stacks?

I'm referring to main event, as I think (according to article) the smaller events might follow last year's structures.
