Default 200nl: Line check KK on Axx flop

Vilian is 30/9/1.4.

Call turn and fold to a decent bet on non-diamond river?

Seems standard but needed line check.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Hero ($200)
Button ($62.13)

UTG ($392.32)

I throw in a 1/2 psb on the flop and play from there.

No thanks.

And while you're there, how about explaining why instead or just stating a random line?

DON'T DO IT JOHNNY!

Seriously, we check the flop because our hand has showdown value but we want to minimize the pot size since about half of villains range is ahead of us here. We also want him to feel more confident with QQ-TT so that he might put in a bet on later streets whereas he'd certainly fold if we bet the flop. Essentially 1/2 potting the flop turns our hand into a bluff, and we don't want that.

As played I call the turn bet planning to fold to anything substantial on the river. I might fire river if he checks, but more often than not I'm checking behind. Getting check/shoved on the river would make me puke, and I don't think we can extract much more value from QQ-TT or whatever.

Damn, didn't even realize you had the NFD. Def call turn then, our equity against his range certainly merits it. Raising is obviously silly, he never folds an ace and always folds what we beat.

Flop check is good, call turn because of your flush draw + he could be bluffing after you showed weakness and will often give up on river. Fold river unimproved.

Sorry for not explaining myself. Anyways, I place a half pot sized bet in order to charge a 30/19/1.4 villain for playing hands that he would call a 3bet with preflop UTG. These hands opened would include all pps 66+ and depending how his betting tendencies possibly a few suited connectors (deep).

I'd hate to see a random gutshot or flush make it with a check or in this instance a check from villains 5c5s has turned into a full house and we pick up the nutflushdraw. He charges us pennies and takes a stack to the river if we make it. I would play short and to the point in reraised pots like this. No middle pps are going to call another bet on the turn unless it comes out a 6s for 7d7c etc.
