Given that you only beat a bluff... and he is bluffing so so rarely, seems like a fold. I mean, can he ever have AA/AK here? my guess is no, so I don't see the dif between QQ and 99 here.

btw i know the results, but im pretty sure this would be my read anyways.

Results: I folded faceup on the river. One of the only times I've ever folded like that and it really made me sick because he didn't show his hand. I kept on going through the hand in my head for the next couple of days and nothing made sense BUT KK. I feel like he folds 3x UTG and 33 would either limp/fold. Any other 1pair type hand would never overbet the river, and a bluff just isn't in his range there w/an overbet. Since we have a lot of mutual friends, I ended up finding out later that he did have KK and I made a good fold. Not going to really say how he should play the hand optimally against me but thinking about it now, there's quite a few different post-flop lines that he could have used to stack me. One involving betting the flop followed w/a couple of combos of turn/river actions, and a few others where he checks the flop, and does different things on the turn/river. Definitely my most memorable hand so far in my MTT career.

(w/o reading other replies)

yes, v interesting hand.

PF - standard call. I put him on TT+ AQ+ with KK and AA and AKs more likely

F - I like the check. he either flopped a monster like KKK33 or he missed like AQ (maybe it's A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]) AJ or he's got an under pair and is scared of the K. the fact that he always c bet before makes me lean toward him slow playing something big or a draw.

Turn - he bets and then min raises you - more evidence that he's got a monster hand. or trying to build the pot for the draw?

River - he's thinking about a PSB, then adds chips - why? maybe he doesn't want you to call? maybe he had A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. If he had a monster, wouldn't he bet less in order to make it an amount you'd bet you'd be more likely to call? He's going - "OK, if I pot it, that should get him to lay stuff down. No, I better add some chips, make sure he folds." Or he saying "He has 9s full. He'll call a big bet, like a PSB; maybe more?"

Your M would be 48 if you called and lost. It's a WA/WB. You can put him on the second nuts or a missed flush draw, ace high. I think it's a close call, but I would fold here. But I can't fault you for calling. I wouldn't push.

public service announcement:

can we please eliminate the use of the term wa/wb in referring to the river. by that point, you are very unlikely to have any more cards dealt. thus, you're either ahead or behind.

dont worry about him, he likes repeating things he's read so that he sounds like he knows what he's talking about. if we start posting WEGDWDSA in response to hands, there will be like 8 people not in on the joke who start doing it too.
