AKss, AsAx and KsKx are often 3bet preflop. We have odds to call vs a set. He could easily be getting freaky with the naked A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], AQ or even something like 9s9x. After thinking about this a bit more I think it's a fairly clear call.

I'm pondering the idea of a flop check here. Thoughts?

You're ahead of 67 on that flop.

Yep, 50.91 to 49.09.

It was just the possibility of being up against a Q and a higher fd that worried me, but I realize that he's probably not calling here pf here with those hands.

Crap, I read the results. But before I did some people were saying easy call. Are they saying this just because of our flush draw. I really feel we're behind here. And I feel we could easily be behind AA,KK w/ a spade. If he has QQQ our outs are tainted.
Sorry, I just wish Isura or A.P. could expand on their thinking. I suck at math so no way I'm calculating his range vs. my odds for a flush and all that mathematical blah, blah....

I don't have pokerstove. Are we really a fave to 67 here? I know it's damn close. I'd like to see it in writing for curiousities sake.

Maybe spend some time with pokerstove etc, and think about the math. This is a basic spot where its useful to know your equity against tight, average, or loose ranges.

Yeah, your right. This is something I've been needing to do, but since I hate math have been putting it off (like the dentist )

Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

990 games 0.005 secs 198,000 games/sec

Board: Qs 6s 7s
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 50.909% 50.91% 00.00% 504 0.00 { JcJs }
Hand 1: 49.091% 49.09% 00.00% 486 0.00 { 7h6h }

EDIT:

This hand range might be way off, I put it together quickly and have a nasty habit of forgetting about hands. Against this range we're easily priced in to call.
