Default Re: 2007-2008 CBB mechanical Home small faves System

[ QUOTE ]
Should home-court advantage be weighed perhaps a little less for these games?
Crowd-size should be smaller and less enthusiastic than normal since most students will be hopping out of town.
Obviously away-team is still traveling to an unfamiliar environment but I was under the assumption that the influence of the fans in attendance made a difference to the home-team also.

I remember going to a couple of Tuesday-before-Thanksgiving games and mid-majors like Miami-Ohio and Wright St and sometimes the crowds are less than half of what they would normally be.

Just something to think about anyway.

Yeah, I think this is an interesting point. It probably holds more weight with a school like Miami because its not a big commuter school. The effect may not be as large for a school like Akron.

I wish my Muskies were playing at Miami this week instead of last.
