Ok since you asked...
Dumbest thing I did was also at Venetian. Was mildly drunk as excuse...but decided to grab some $$ out of the ATM near Venetian poker room. Hadnt been there since last year, and they seem to have changed to a new ATM that gives cash, pays out slot tickets, and changes money.

Seemed like a clever idea and also clever was the wide slot near top of machine...so obviously I pushed my credit/bank card in sideways after reading the instructions. Seems machine made a bit of a squeal and returned my card. Guess it didnt like my Canadian visa , but I pushed it back in again...this time the machine squealed again but pulled my card in.Strange that the screen never asked me my pin # etc.

Stood there like 5 minutes reading instructions and pushing buttons but to no avail. Finally I requested help from the cigarette girl , who pointed out the conventional slot below the one I had used , it would have fit my card nicely.

Anyway she got slot lady to radio security etc etc till like 20 minutes later I had like 8 casino staff with machine open trying to fish out my card and quietly repeating what a dolt I was.

In the 20 minute time frame I saved 2 other people from using their card on the top slot...so I was not only dolt there.

I did ask the dealer at my table how this would be ruled, but he seemed at a loss...I suspect I would cover any loss...and had I won a large pot I assume chips would be returned?
