Default NL25 - Reality check - Am I a SpewDonk ?

Hey all.
This is NOT intended to be a bad beat post, I hope it is more of a disaster aversion post.

I have lost 5 huge hands that I thought I had played well over the last thousand five hundred hands. My confidence has taken a bit of a beating, with these hands and flow-on tilt.

I am TAG ish, 21/20/4, and getting more aggressive all the time.

I want to run them by you to see if:

1. My bet sizing is flawed: could I have avoided these feltings by pricing out Villain in any way?
2. I could have minimised my loss in any other way.
3. I am generally too enthusiastic to get my chips in.

Am I getting unlucky or am I a donkey?

You had the best hand when the money went in every time - that's all you can do. You can't control the results, so don't stress out over them.

To answer your questions -

1. Why do you want to "price out" the villain? You want him calling/raising with worse hands, which is what happened each time.

2. You want to get as much money in with the best hand as you can - minimizing your losses will also minimize your wins when your hand holds up (which it will more often than not)

3. See #2 - if you were blowing people out of the pot with your enthusiasm to get your chips in, that would be one thing, but I don't see that happening here.

You played them all fine. Don't worry about it, and move on.

Hand 1, no need to pot the flop, 2/3 pot is fine. Call is standard.

Hand 2, BET THE FLOP

Hand 3, Push river

Hand 4, why are you minraising, make a real raise.

Don't include results also

Except for that terrible minraise in the last hand I don't see anything wrong. This IS a bad beat post, case closed.

Thanks guys, yeah the check on the flop with the straight was kind of gross, was hoping for a raise, the flop clearly gave me the nuts without much potential for improvement for anyone else, but agree, should have bet out.

Re the min bet in the 666 hand, this was triggered by a read of villain as kind of an aggro-donk, expected a reraise from him.

Hand 1: I normally would not make the pot size bet, bet like 6, but if he was going to raise it, I am definetely shoving. U had a monster hand, and he got lucky... well played.
Hand 2: same [censored], played it well.
Hand 3: u lost the minimum.
Hand 4: standard.
I agree, this seems as a bad beat post, u played all of em gr8.
Id say ur on a bad streak of cards, not a donk at all.
