Default Borgata Main Event

I did not go to the Borgata to play in any of the prelims to date, and was looking for any feedback on the turnout or approx. headcount for the Main Event,as I will be arriving on Saturday,to play some Super-Sats as well as Cash games.

I was just wondering on the # of tourney entries/ring game #'s so far,and if any 2+2ers were or are still there, and will be playing in Sunday's Main Event?

Thanks,

I played the second event ($750 buy in) - there were 500 players - I did money...field wasn't particularly tough.

1st event had 900...people have said numbers are a bit down though.

I can't make the main event since I am in the West, but good luck!

DanRB.

GG on the cash!

I checked pokerpages.com and a local buddy of mine finished 5th in the $1500 Event the other day.

I heard from Tab today (the Borgata TD)and he felt turnout was def. DOWN at this point, and most likely due to the oversee's events in Europe.

He was hoping the 2.5k and 5k Events would bring some more Pro's out......but he didnt sound too thrilled ,so I am figuring the ME will be <500 runners?

Thanks again!

Turnout for the prelims was waaay down. I played in the Winter Open and there were 1400 for the $500. I think they had 900 this time.

I even noticed that the daily tourneys were down too. I played at the TAJ all week and there were about 50-60 in the daily, where there used to be ~80. It didn't look like the NL cash games were that busy either. Of course it was still easy to find a low limit limit game.

Based on some feedback I have heard to date,it looks like 500 entries to the ME will be a miracle, with so many players still in Europe.

Do you plan on playing in the USPC at the Taj later in the month/beginning of October?

Do you think that will get a decent field this year in light of the fact that ESPN does not intend on filming it and WSOPE?

Edited to correct dates.

SF,

this sounds like a good thing to me, why is it bumming you out?

MG,

Hard to imagine the USPC getting more than 149, and I really wouldn't be surprised if that number was more like 79.

Shaniac,

Do you plan on visiting the East coast anytime soon?
