Default Multiple Straddles

I've done a quick search and found a lot on straddles, and found the following scenario:
In Limit games, the straddle is the size of the big blind, e.g. 10-20: sb=5 bb=10 utg=20 utg+1=30 etc.
But here's the question I'm interested in:
In NL/PL games what's the utg or utg+1 straddle? There's been debate that it's a) the same as limit, b) it doubles with each straddle sb=5 bb=10 utg=20 utg+1=40, or c) since it's NL/PL you can straddle what you wish.
I know this can be a -EV move, but if the drunks want to do it why not
Thanks for the responses

in no limit games, in my experience, multiple straddles would increase by factors of 2.

sb=10, bb=25, straddle=50, 2ndstraddle=100, 3rdstraddle=200

As long as each straddle would count as a legal raise. I'm sure it varies somewhat from room to room, though.

I agree - it is very room dependent, as long as it was a min raise it would be legal but how the room chooses to allow it is the bigger question

I personally like the doubling method for NL but have only played it that way in home games and never seen a legal double straddle in live casino poker room play (although I would be interested to know if there are any that do allow it)

I play at a club where the $1/2 game routinely has a $5 straddle. It basically ends up playing as a shortstacked $2/5 game. The restraddle is usually to $10, and is not very uncommon.

It is totally room dependent. The most common is a doubling of the prior raise, e.g. in a 10/20NL game, SB 10 BB 10 UTG 20 UTG+1 40, and so on.

I have also seen it ruled as a blind raise, i.e. no option to act PR, you already acted by raising blind. The catch is that this can be any valid raise, e.g. 10/20NL game, 10, 20, 5000 if you wanted to.
