Default 50nl AKs with position gets 3 bet

Villain is 35/21/14 only have 50 hands though.

Should I just call the 3 bet and play after flop? Or is shoving ok here too?

At the very least calls. You're heads-up in position against one player with a big suited ace. Let AQ and AJ hang around with you. At least two of the big pairs in villain's range (JJ and TT) are exceedingly difficult to play OOP in a large pot on later streets.

If you make a 4-bet, then you're committing yourself to get it all-in either before the flop or on the flop. With villain's stats, i wouldn't worry too much about getting all-in before the flop, but i think you more than make up your equity deficit by just calling.

My default play with this hand is to flat-call the re-raise and call/bet nearly every flop (including flops with aces and kings), and play poker with it instead of shoving almost 120bb into the pot at 45%.

Edited to say: If villain is extremely aggro on the turn (willing to fire again with air a significant portion of the time), then the best play might be to move in before the flop.

Kinda depends. If youve been pwning the button hard for those 50 hands I want to 4bet more. Is this the first time he 3bet you? If you've been relatively quiet so far, I like a call. If you 2 have been getting into it and he knows youre opening light from the button I 4bet to 20.

I was raising button a lot.. and this was first time he 3 bet me.

If you 4 bet to 20 you're calling a shove right?

I don't mind a 4-bet shove here, especially if I've been raising my button a lot and I have a laggy image. If I think my image is pretty tight/conservative, I'd rather see a flop and take it from there.

Yeah Id call a shove if I stuck $20 in already. Ill admit this is close bc you dont have any history and Im not a big fan of felting AK pf w/o reads but this guy appears to be loose from the stats. Usually if its the very 1st time hes 3bet at all I'll call in position but against this type of guy I could felt it. If hes really been running the taqble over or anything like that, I 4bet here bc I think Im ahead of his range.

I think without history (if he's 3-bet you light a lot), I call and raise almost any flop.. but if he's 3-bet me light a lot before, I just shove preflop. If he wants to make a bad call with like TT-99, I make a note and 4-bet shove AA next time he 3-bets me.

4bet or calling are both fine.

If his AF is that high im probably smooth calling and assuming that he gets it all in weather we hit or not.
