Pick a nice day, go get some mushrooms (the Professor was my favorite) , go to Vondelpark (a 5 min tram ride away from the red light district) take the mushrooms, lay down and look at the clouds. And If you smoke some weed after 3 or 4 hours it won't be bad when you come down.

There's a little cluster of windows off Singel, fairly close to Central Station. It's not nearly as sleazy as the Red Light District.

Also try the hash bon bons at Chocolata on Spuistraat.
