AK - please teach me when to fold
I am a HUGE loser with AK suited and offsuit, is there some formula you guys use to know when to let it go, I'm good about getting away from it when it doesnt hit, but when it does on a good board, how can i?
words of wisdom needed My only read on villain is that he limp/calls pf alot, seems to see alot of flops PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Hero ($44.40) BB ($25) UTG ($40.45) MP ($3.50) CO ($14.30) Button ($33.10) Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Re: AK - please teach me when to fold
The way you played it, I would fold to 5bet. I doubt he is doing this with a flush draw. I wouldn`t even 4bet flop, but rather call and probaly check fold without reads to a big turn bet.

[/ QUOTE ] folding to 5bet seems like an ok idea but u would fold to a turn bet? after just calling villains almost minraise on the flop? that seems too weak, doesnt villain play kq-kt or flush draw the same way? |

Re: AK - please teach me when to fold
If you are gonna 3 bet flop, make it a real 3bet (like $25ish).

[/ QUOTE ] I would fold to a big turn bet, pot size or close to pot size. In my experience oponents don`t bet so much on turn with anything we beat (KQ, KJ), just doesn`t make much sense, unless he`s a big aggro donk. That`s why I said without reads. |

[/ QUOTE ] Because people could be 3betting with a big range here, but usualy slow down on turn, unless they have a big hand, and since you told them, hey I have a hand too... They could be playing sets, Nutflush draws, combo draws, smaller pairs, tpgk, air like this. |
