Default palm springs

any recommendations for a place that's nice, but not too fancy. don't want to dress up super nice. maybe looking for $20-30 main course.

oddjob, there is a nice area called El Paseo in Palm Desert (very close to Palm Springs) that may be too fancy for your liking, but they have a fine array of restaurants and choices. Also, maybe two miles from there in Rancho Mirage they built a high-end chain-type complex with Yard House, PF Chang's, etc. type places. If you're looking for a non-chain joint I probably can't help.

thanks tuq. i may be above going to chain restaurants, but i'm pretty sure my family isn't.

LG's Prime Steakhouse is awesome, I go every time I'm in the desert. I like the one in Palm Desert more than Palm Springs, but they're both good.
